FAR EAST EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN

Malta to Cyprus, Syria, Israel, Palestine and Eqypt. (Greece and Turkey have their own pages). These ports are deep into the Eastern Mediterranean. The politics become a little less clear and change. One of my personal favourite ports of old, Beirut, is now closed. But, so much is open and cruise ships traditionally only go to places that are safe.

This is a port that is used by many ships as a home port. Fly-cruise holidays can start and stop here. This means spent wisely you get to see Malta. We suggest if you are new to the ship, you do not waste time exploring the ship when you arrive but see Malta.

Western Port in Haifa is an old port that has plans to rebuild. It is visited by a wide variety of ships. The port was built in 1933 as Palestine’s first port. It is an easy port to explore on foot; the German Templar Colony is nearby and has bars, restaurants and shopping. There are many options as it is a gateway to Akko/Acre, Nazareth and other important places.
