The Baltic Route is without doubt our favourite. Here are the most popular stops. BRUGES COPENHAGEN HELSINKI RIGA SKAGEN ST PETERSBURG STOCKHOLM TALLINN A Baltic cruise is not a ‘lay in the sun’ route, this is a ‘get up and visit’ route. That isn’t to say that you can’t just enjoy the pool, but it offers great historic cities nearly every day. Here are all the stops used by the main UK ships and passengers. AABENRAA AARHUS AARLBORG BRUGES COPENHAGEN FREDERICIA GDANSK GOTHENBURG HAMBURG HELSINGBORG HELSINKI HUNDESTED KALUNDBORG KIELE KLAIPEDA MALMO MARIEHAHN MURMANSK OSLO RIGA RØNNE SKAGEN ST PETERSBURG STOCKHOLM TALLINN TRAVEMUNDE VISBY WARNEMUNDE From Bruges (though technically not in the Baltic Sea it is part of the Baltic route), to St Petersburg and beyond. You will discover gems like Tallinn and smile at pop in the Abba museum when many dress up that night. Many cruisers have great knowledge to share, so please join the Baltic chat site. Hamburg had the largest Jewish community in Germany before the second world war. There are many commemorative cobblestones (Stolpersteine). Some buildings preserved from the concentration camp that was based at Neuengamme now serve as a memorial – in total contrast there is the Wunderland. The model railway HAS absolutely HAS to be booked in advance and do it early, our film shows how to get there. If you are on a tour with it included it will guarantee entry but your time there will be limited by the tour. It is a must, whether you like models or not !
The Reeperbahn is not near the centre, it may be bear where your ship docks. MAP HERE.
