Antarctica 21 was founded in 2003 and is a pioneer of Antarctic cruise expeditions. Combining a flight over the Drake Passage known for rough seas with an adventurous expedition cruise aboard a small expedition ship.

EXPLORATION

Built in 2019 at the Asenav shipyard in Valdivia, Chile. It is specifically designed to operate Antarctic cruises with an expanded fuel range and to the latest Polar Code specifications set by the International Maritime Organization. It is an Ice Class 6 (PC6) ship. For comfortable navigation, the ship has stabilizers and for manoeuvrability, she has both bow and stern thrusters.

Built in Denmark in 1992 to sail the ice-choked waters of Greenland. It has a strengthened hull that is ideally suited for expedition travel in Antarctica. The ship was fully refurbished in 2006 and since then has benefitted from annual upgrades and improvements.
