CAIRO city, history and culture explained in an amazing 3D model

The most fascinating way to discover the history and features of Cairo. Cairo is Egypt’s sprawling capital, inland from the Suez canal and is set on the Nile River. At its heart is Tahrir Square and the vast Egyptian Museum, a trove of antiquities including royal mummies and gilded King Tutankhamun artefacts. The entrance to the pyramids is nearby at Giza, which has iconic pyramids and Great Sphinx, dating to the 26th century BC. This films builds a virtual model of the city, that you walk through; seeing inside and out in 3D.

For the best views on a clear day, in Gezira Island’s leafy Zamalek district, the 187m tall Cairo Tower affords panoramic city views.

The other wonder of science is that you may have seen this one-hour documentary done word for word by other presenters, and it’s because they just have to follow the same script and they are digitally put into the film. We will see if we can try.
