The Staysail schooner was launched in 1989 as La Fayette, now Windstar’s flagship is the Wind Surf. The world’s largest sailing ship. Star Breeze - 312 guests - new length of approximately 160 meters, a tonnage of around 13,000 tons

Star Breeze carries 312 guests in 156 suites: 79 Ocean View Suites, 58 Balcony suites, and 10 Star Porthole Suites plus 4 Owners’ Suites, 2 beautiful Classic Suites, and 3 Deluxe Suites.

Whilst a sister ship to the other two, her capacity was increased in 2019. As with many ships that are enlarged, she was cut somewhere in the centre and a new25.6 meters mid-body section was added giving 50 more staterooms. Also, it had a total renewal of the propulsion engines and diesel generators for more environmentally responsible navigation; and extensive modernization of public areas, passenger cabins and open decks. This program is expected to extend to the other two ships.
