There are over 2000 cruise ports around the world.

There are over 2000 cruise ports around the world. Whilst some a container ports that take cruise ships, some are major trading ports, others are purely there to service cruise ships. They are true cruise ports. The ports expanding in the Caribbean to take bigger and more cruise ships are concrete jetty type ports that are easily expanded if the water is deep enough. The British Virgin Islands is an example of this. The secure customs area then leads to a shopping village that you go through in order to enter the island, town, or city. Then there are the ports like Lisbon where the ships pull alongside the sea wall. We list the ports, all of them under our ports heading in the menu. The easiest way to see them all is to click on EVERY CRUISE PORTor click this link or the box below. Each week we add something somewhere or update information, weather, maps, tips, excursions.

ALL CRUISE PORTS in alphabetical order

Why do we do it, quite simply as movie makers we have a cruise crime book series we are researching and nurturing to become a great TV series. We do it to publicise the books and build awareness and in doing that we have fallen in love with cruising. Jean has now presented over 500 cruise port and ship guides. We hope you enjoy them and tell fellow cruisers, or. become involved in one of the many Doris Visits uCruise Chat Groups. So where did Doris come from? If you are keen to know, look under Jean’s profile in ‘About Us’.

One of our loves is the Caribbean. Jean especially loves Barbados and Bequia, two very different islands. We found a crazy drunken fishing ceremony in St Vincent and we got the bus to a beach in Antigua where we had one of the best Indian meals ever by the sea… and it cost us less than many had paid for a taxi and had to leave early. We are adventurous cruisers, so we might just find something unusual. If you find something unusual, please share it on the chat site or write us a blog.
