Barcelona, the cosmopolitan capital of Spain’s Catalonia region, is a popular cruise port. But is it the best?

The shuttle buses always take guests to the bus terminus which is just a short walk away from the Columbus statue in Las Ramblas which points south-southeast, towards the city of Constantine in Algeria (and the cruise terminal). Our filmed guide has an index.

Without a doubt, Barcelona is known for its art and architecture. The fantastical Sagrada Família church, best visited by Metro, and other modernist landmarks designed by Antoni Gaudí dot the city. See Parc Gel where he had a home and decided to build a village.

There is also the Museu Picasso and Fundació Joan Miró feature modern art by their namesakes. City history museum MUHBA, includes several Roman archaeological sites.
