SKAGEN TEDDY BEAR MUSEUM – Bamsemuseum

The Teddy Bear Museum in Skagen is in the shadow of the large round red brick observation tower, that looks like a water tower, and opposite Ancher’s House. It is an easy walk from the harbour, easier to cycle. The Teddy Bear museum opened in 1998 and is the only one in all Scandinavia. It is fun, and can be seen quickly unless you have children. There are steps up to the shop and museum, as seen in the film. Where else can you find these tips and films showing you the access?

Some have history value and have lived their own unique life and have stories. This is very much a Skagen-style house and garden and would be charming without the bears. The artists, and Skagen is so much about art, have created so much to add to this museum, which is also a charming hotel where you can stay. Do check the times because it may figure on how you organise your day. It is on the way to Grenen, and Ancher’s House should not be missed. The website is in Danish, so search it and open with translate this page. Skagens Bamsemuseum
