BODO, NORWAY – what is midnight sun

There’s a great Al Pacino movie where he goes north to solve a crime and can’t sleep in the midnight sun. But what is it? In Bodo, it can be seen as the sun never going down below the horizon enough for it to go dark, infect, it stays just about on the horizon, so the light from what is a sunset and a sunrise all in one, never goes. This time-lapse film shot in BODO, Norway, an unsheltered peninsula on one of the world’s most beautiful coastlines, shows you just why an inside cabin is exactly what you want.
