Queensferry. Tendering to Hawes Pier under the Forth Bridge and taking the X99 into Edinburgh.

Cruise ships either go into the terminal at Leith or stop by the Forth Bridge and anchor, with tenders going into the HAWES PIER in Queensferry. This is a short trip, normally under the amazing bridge to the pier where you can just stroll and enjoy the town or take the X99 bus into Edinburgh. Jean shows you both routes. We have many films on exploring Edinburgh. The shuttle fee if not covered by the ship, is a round trip of £12 (2023). It takes about 35 minutes and drops you in Princes Street by the shops. Cross Princes Street Gardens for the castle and Royal Mile, and our new find, Bertie’s Fish and Chips on the way down to the Grass Market. Jean didn’t fancy the option of the train ride over the bridge.
