Doris Visits welcomes travel film makers Melinda and Jack from the USA. Here they look at St Thomas, Caribbean and go Kayaking and Snorkelling after a walking tour. Charlotte Amalie is the capital of St. Thomas, and at the moment we can find no P&O cruise there but Fred Olsen and many other ships leaving the UK do find this idyllic paradise island. It has beautiful bays, with fantastic golden-sand beaches ideal for Kayaking or snorkelling as Melinda and Jack show. If you just want to walk the busy harbours it is an easy way to spend the day in this typically Caribbean city with much Danish colonial architecture. It also features the St. Thomas Synagogue – the second oldest Synagogue in the Western Hemisphere and 17th century Blackbeard’s Castle – a U.S. National Historic Landmark.
