Darren Day at P&O Britannia’s prestige Limelight club.

Darren Day often appears in Britannia‘s Limelight club, the premium entertainment area that has been such a success in attracting great entertainers that it is to be continued into the new ship P&O is having built. Darren was on the very special entertainment program that accompanied Britannia’s Strictly Come Dancing Cruise. He joined the Strictly cruise at Cartagena and certainly made the journey home easier. He is famous for his West End roles as well as his one-man show. He is the most incredible impressionist and singer and does a duet with himself playing both Elton John and George Michael seamlessly switching voices and characters in a beat between immaculately accurate notes and voices. He is also an actor, a television presenter and a one time professional snooker player.

WHAT TO PACK CARIBBEAN CRUISE  CRUISE THE PACIFIC

His career started as a Butlin’s Red Coat but he was discovered by TV audiences when he took the country by storm on Opportunity Knocks. Once again, where could you see such a show up close and personal, then walk up and chat with the artist and have your picture taken with him, then see him and his wife and family on the ship later. If you enjoy enjoyment then Darren Day is an example of why we cruise. Having seen him in the Limelight, and we have seen some great artists there from Kiki Dee to Madeline Bell, from Eric and Ern to Brian McFadden and Keith Duffy from Boyslife, we could go on but this is about Darren. So where did Darren jump to after Opportunity Knocks, he replaced Philip Schofield in the West End show of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. Since he has starred Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, Grease, Summer Holiday and Godspell. TV credits both as an actor & himself are endless and he is currently staring in Stella on Sky 1.

The Limelight club normally rotates four menus, it is a three-course menu because you are there to watch an act, it is like a speakeasy.
