What do you collect while cruising? – We are collectors and hoarders by nature!
Is it fridge magnets, thimbles, soldiers, flags, tea towels, postcards?
We want to run a collectors blog, this one, with a few films of you and your cruise collections. When we get enough for a compilation of your best collections, we will make them into a YouTube film and publish it for you to see and share.
So we collect fridge magnets, and often leave them in the cabin! We have just started collecting tea towels (with donkeys on – as Stuart is telling our 6-month-old daughter Heidi stories about a donkey in Petra) – we used to collect tall thin statues.
What do you collect?
We need you to send is two film clips shot on your phone.
- One straight at you, big smile, say your name, favourite ship, then what you collect. That is maybe a 15-second clip. ‘Hi Doris Visits, my name is Norman, my favourite ship is the Titanic, and I collect seashells…..’ so you get the idea.
- Then send us that clip alone to [email protected]
- Then make a clip of you looking at your collection, pan up and down, point them out and say ‘here is a magnet from the sea of Galilee, and a magnet I took out a mortgage for in Bora Bora….’
- then send us that clip to [email protected]
sent separately they will arrive easily.
You sending them to us to that email address confirms by action you have no objection to us editing them into a compilation, and putting them on our channel here at Doris Visits. Now, we are off to the fridge to get Jean to show you her magnet collection…..
Essentials – cruise travel labels and our cruise crime novels – oh, and the seasickness bands.
The Port guides here on Doris Visits are a great way to remember your cruise and share with your friends. ATHENS METRO ATHENS ICE CREAM ATHENS GUIDE ATHENS HORSE+CARRIAGE ATHENS PLAKA CRETE GUIDE THE VERY SPECIAL RHODES ROME DUBROVNIK ZADAR VENICE NIGHT SAIL AWAY
The crime novels are a whole new experience. You may not have been to the ports in the novels, you certainly won’t have been to the parts of the ship they use. All the cruise crime novels will make you feel like you are in the adventure and on the ship – dodge the bullets and stay out of the romance. Ship and cruise accurate, the novels are a great way for new cruisers to discover a ship too. Please share the Amazon link. .CRUISE SHIP HEIST https://amzn.to/2GKQBIp
QUESTION: If I travel and I am more than 24 weeks pregnant am I technically un-insured and liable for all the bills?
ANSWER: Check with your insurance company and lawyer before you travel, but it appears all the companies say no travel.
